In October 2013, the “Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos” Foundation made a donation to the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, which covered part of the research and educational needs of the 1st Intensive Care Clinic of the University’s Department of Medicine. 

The National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, founded on May 3, 1837, is the first established university not only in Greece, but across the entire Balkan Peninsula and the wider Eastern Mediterranean area.
