REGISTRATIONS FOR SIXTH ROUND OF SEMINARS NOW OPEN

Registrations for the CAEM’s (Center for Agri-Food Entrepreneurship in Messinia) sixth cycle of seminars will open on Tuesday, February 5 2019. The seminars will begin on February 18 and are open to all those who wish to enrich their knowledge and skills on topics related to the agri-food industry, as well as all those interested in sustainable entrepreneurship via the exploitation of the local rural economy’s natural resources.

The average duration of the seminars will be 30 training hours (ten 3-hour meetings), and they will include theoretical lessons, practical training in workshops, talks by visiting speakers, and visits to production facilities. The seminars that will begin during the 2019 spring semester are the following

  • Food Processing, Standardization, & Preservation
  • Olive Processing and Standardization 
  • Olive Oil Processing and Standardization
  • Utilization of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants
  • Agritourism
  • Beginners’ Beekeeping


The experiential and educational nature of the seminars aims to develop entrepreneurial education, improve the skills connected with the production process, and promote business ideas via the consulting services offered by the CAEM. At the end of the seminar, a certification of attendance will be given to all participants.
