AGRICULTURE OF THE PRESENT AND THE FUTURE
The
Center for Agri-food Entrepreneurship in Messinia (CAEM) is announcing an
internet conference on the developments in the agri-food industry titled:
“Agriculture of the present and the future”
The conference will take place on April 19 at 18:00 and is aimed at those who wish to become acquainted with the application of the principles of intelligent agriculture in olive cultivation.
During the conference, the three main axes of the CAEM will be presented in detail. More specifically, educational and consultative actions will be analyzed, which relate to intelligent agriculture and its use as a valuable tool to meet the challenges of the present and the future.
Moreover, the following will be discussed: The contribution of modern marketing to the promotion of agri-food products, the European InoFA program for the digital transformation of agri-food, the challenges facing the new era, and the opportunities presented by the participation of producers through their integration into innovative, technological and cooperative schemes. There will also be a discussion on issues related to the application of intelligent agriculture in the proper management of soil fertilization as well as the nutrition and enhancement of plant health with the help of microorganisms and the use of amino acids as biostimulants.
The talks will conclude with a reference to the European COASTAL initiative and the collaborations for the improvement of the land–sea system.
Finally, for a limited number of participants, three thematic workshops will be held, where a more detailed analysis of the topics presented in the introductory program will take place.
The conference will take place via the ZOOM platform and will have a total duration of two hours. Participation is free of charge. Pre-registration is required.
