EXPORTING QUALITY AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS 2014
For the second consecutive year, the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation and the George and Victoria Karelias Foundation are co-organizing a two-day workshop for the promotion of exports of Messinia. The workshop will take place on 8 & 9 December at the conference venue of the Horizon Blu hotel. The workshop is supported by the Panhellenic Exporters Association and the Messinia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and, is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
Apart from the support and promotion of exports, the workshop aims at informing producers and processor of Messinia on the possibilites and prospects for exports of agricultural products of Messinia. At the same time, there will be opportunities for networking with major foreign buyers.
During the theoretical part of the workshop, strategies, the legal framework as well as best practices for marketing and promoting successfully products to the USA, Australia, China and France wiil be presented. The informational sessions of the workshop will be complemented with business meetings and networking between Greek participants and business people from abroad (B2B meetings).
On the second half of each day, export-oriented companies are invited to participate in business meetings with buyers from countries such as the USA, Australia, China, and France. During these meetings, companies can promote their export products (standardized-packaged samples) and give out informational material (brochures, product catalogues, etc).
The selection criteria for the companies that will take part in the business meetings are:
a) export experience (existing export activity, participation in exhibitions and business missions)
b) availability of informational – promotional material in Greek and English (promotional brochure, roll up banner 2 x 0.8 m, etc)
c) availability of product samples
The official language of the business meeting is English.
